Outfits guide
Start Your Wardrobe From an Outfit Photo
Choose one clear outfit photo, review the detected garments, and use the saved pieces to plan a look in Outfits.
-
Choose an outfit photo you already have
Start with a clear photo of an outfit you wore. Clothes should be visible rather than mostly hidden by a coat, bag, or another person. Review the image for faces and background details before selecting it for online processing.
-
Add the photo
On the main outfit screen, tap the plus button and select the photo. Outfits asks for upload consent before processing selected images online. Additional imports after the first-photo experience require an active subscription.
-
Wait for the suggestions
The app queues the photo for garment identification and image creation. Processing may take time. If you leave the app, iOS may pause background work until you return.
-
Review each garment
Open the Review queue. Check each suggested piece, its name, category, image, and any visibility warning. Save pieces you want and delete incorrect or unwanted suggestions. The wardrobe is not filled silently.
-
Improve a difficult piece
If a garment is partly covered or the image is wrong, add a clearer photo or use Edit cutout where available. Pieces with unresolved visibility warnings cannot be placed in outfits.
-
Build one outfit
Open a day, choose from the reviewed pieces, and adjust the clothing slots. The day saves as you edit; tap the heart if you want the combination as a reusable favorite.
Frequently asked questions
Will one photo capture my whole wardrobe?
No. It is a small starting point. Add more selected outfit photos over time and review the resulting pieces before saving them.
Does the app keep a daily photo diary or count wears?
No. Outfits currently helps you build a wardrobe from selected photos and plan outfits. Keep a separate photo album or use the free closet-audit worksheet if you want a wear log.
